A book for people who cared for others

Ages 7–9

Ibn Sina, also called Avicenna, studied medicine and many other subjects.

His Canon of Medicine gathered medical knowledge into an encyclopedia.

In the Canon, Ibn Sina argued that medicines should be tested under controlled conditions.

The Canon was translated into Latin and Chinese, carrying its ideas to readers far away.
